The President starts off by simply addressing the places that are helping and the affected areas. He then talks about what is being done to fix the problem and help the people. The speech starts off sad and then it slowly gets more hopeful. He gradually starts working into a more positive area towards the end. Altho he doesn't just skim over the severity of the damage. He often address the problems and states that there working to help. He talks about the priorities of the state government. He also talks about the future, About new places and neighborhoods would be better because if the storm. He kept the speech short and to the point with a time of 2 minutes.
Obama's speech on tornadoes:
He also starts off with talking about the storm and the destruction is caused. He states where the affected areas are and the death count. He also doesn't sugar coat it, talking right away about the destruction of a school and he children that died. He then talks about what he and the federal government is doing to help the state government in the rescue efforts. He also talks about how fema and other people are giving their support. He continues to talk about the dark times and the problems that they are facing. He then moves on and talks on rebuilding and becoming better. Later he talks about the help that america can provide. He also talks about needing donations to the red cross.
Bush's speech on the loss of shuttle Columbia:
President Bush starts off by addressing the people of the united states and states the situation. He uses terms that would be associated with mission control. Like the columbia is lost instead of the rocket blew up. Then he tells us the names of the people who died on the rocket. He then addressed the danger they knew that they faced and praised them for their bravery. He then speaks for the county and gives our gratitude to the families. He then talks about sorrow and then a religious story. He then ends with a typical ending. He gives his best wishes to the families and to america.
Bush's speech on 911:
He walks up to the podium obviously flustered and unsettled. His breathing is fast and heavy into the mic. He tells us right away what has happened and that he on working nonstop to get more information. He then assures everyone that the full power of the federal government is going to help with the destruction and the affected families. He also states that the director of the fbi has started a full scale investigation of what happened and who is to blame. 1 minute
Reagan's speech on challenger explosion:
Opposed to how Bush started his speech Regan starts of with talking about what we have done so far. How NASA continues to surprise and inspire us rather than start with sorrow and sadness. He the addresses the space ships crew and talks about how they were still pioneers. Then he talks to the school children that were watching and tries to ease their minds. He then praises the crew and says we will still follow them. He then addresses NASA and the people that worked on the mission. He thanks them for there devotion and how they moved us for decades. Also he says that you are not to blame and we know of your anguish. He then talks talks about a great explorer and how they are the modern day Sir Francis Drake.
In the last speech its included in a in interview. The man that is talking addresses the time of the speech. He sees that it's 5 minutes an he says. “ That Reagan Challenger speech was less than five minutes, the entire speech from start to finish, so as we've said so often sometimes uh, the amount of words don't matter it's what you say and in this case how you convey that."
Hurricane Florence
By: Matthew Brandstedter (President)
Ladies and Gentlemen today we are continuing to address the recent hurricanes effects on our lower states east coast states. For the past 3 days i have been in meetings trying to assess the damage of the storm. For about 5 hours yesterday alone, my Advisors and I have been on the phones talking to the states governors and local officials making sure that the essential resources get where they need to be. The red cross and a detachment of the national guard have been dispatched to north and south carolina's to aid in the relief effort. And we are working to fully evacuate the affected areas. Now the residents of these states will continue to need our help for a long time. I know that now times must seem really dark and that there might be no coming back from this. You might be thinking that there's just too much damage to rebuild. I am here to tell you that your wrong. In time the rain will pass, and the floods will subside. Whole neighborhoods will then need to be rebuilt and family's ready to fill them. We will be here to help you every step of the way. People have already shown that it can be done. It will not happen all at once and it will It happen easily. But then again when has anything worthwhile been easy... In every time of darkness there always is some light and I believe. The way we open up our homes our supplies and our love to complete strangers is something special and that is the light you need to smile for. Because it is these acts that can only be found here in america. Your country stands with you and we will do all in our power to help you. May god bless you. Thank You.
